Data has developed it Roofing Supply Application to deal with the unique
aspects of this market. Most roofing shingles and tiles are available
in multiple colors and yet are priced exactly the same. They are purchased
and sold by both square and bundle. This software is a superset of the
Construction Supply application and also handles:
- Specific units of measure in Item Maintenance which control how a roofing item is purchased and sold
- Square and bundle pricing in Order Processing with quantities that may include both squares and bundles
- Square and bundle costing in Purchasing and Inventory
- Price group maintenance for like items with multiple colors
- Cost and price control to minimize maintenance and ensure pricing consistency across all items in a Price Group
